What you get to do:

• Enthusiastically represents Busch Gardens by displaying a positive attitude and commitment to quality throughout all aspects of the job.
• Initiate interactions with guests to proactively provide animal and park information.
• Conduct informative and engaging animal presentations on microphone at animal habitats and interpret veterinary procedures in real-time
• Organize inventory and prepare materials for educational experiences.
• Facilitate tours of the Animal Care Center and promote educational tour experiences.
• Ensures safety of guests at animal exhibits and behind the scenes.
• Maintain professional quality standards with guest interactions in times of high stress.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with Ambassadors Vendors and our Guests.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

What it takes to succeed:

• At least 18 years of age
• Valid Drivers License
• Working towards a degree or have a degree in Education Animal Science Psychology Zoology or related field preferred but not necessary
• Excellent communication and public speaking skills
• Ability to provide outstanding guest service
• Ability to work up to 28 hours a week
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include weekday and weekend shifts evenings and holidays
• Ability to work in an outdoor environment: high heat humidity cold etc.

What else is important:

• Able to push pull lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
• This position requires walking standing bending and overhead reaching
• Ability to work individually and/or within a team setting
• Ability to practice proper time management when given multiple tasks
• Perform cleaning duties including use of cleaning chemicals
• Basic computer knowledge
• Experience working at a veterinary facility is preferred but not required
• Prior guest/customer service experience preferred
