Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Project Planning & Scheduling professional to support a leading utility client in planning and executing infrastructure projects that enable large-scale renewable energy integration. The role involves creating detailed schedules coordinating with cross-functional teams and ensuring timely delivery of grid upgrade projects.
Key Responsibilities
Develop manage and maintain project schedules for transmission distribution and substation upgrade projects.
Coordinate with engineering planning procurement construction and regulatory teams to collect project inputs.
Identify infrastructure needs such as substations line extensions reactive power support communication systems and interconnection facilities.
Support feasibility studies and system impact assessments for renewable integration.
Track milestones progress resource requirements and budgets.
Conduct schedule risk analysis identify critical paths and suggest mitigation strategies.
Prepare dashboards progress reports and presentations for leadership.
Ensure adherence to safety standards utility procedures and regulatory guidelines.
Assist in evaluating grid reliability protection schemes and system stability under high renewable penetration.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
Bachelors degree in Electrical Engineering Power Systems Project Management or related field.
Minimum 5 years of experience in utility project planning scheduling grid upgrades or renewable integration projects.
Strong understanding of T&D systems interconnection standards and grid modernization.
Proficiency in Primavera P6 MS Project or SAP.
Excellent analytical coordination and organizational skills.
Preferred Skills
Exposure to solar wind and energy storage projects.
Familiarity with utility permitting regulatory processes and planning methodologies.
Ability to manage multiple complex technical projects.
