Ready for a career glow-up As Regional HR Manager Contract youll be providing overarching support and direction to Sephora Stores and Field Leadership on all aspects of Human Resources. The work you do will impact beauty as your well-versed knowledge in provincial labor laws and practices helps you support multiple provinces within the region. Youll also be instrumental in elevating Field Leaderships capabilities in HR practices coaching them to skillfully manage the talent demands of their districts or stores. Youll be part of a team thats united in beauty supported by those who are equally as passionate about talent retention employee relations policy interpretation health & safety and performance management. Furthermore you will collaborate closely with the Regional Director to define and identify market-based HR strategies that align with field objectives.
What Youll Do:
Overall
- Implementpeoplestrategies related to the Employee Journey that align to the field business initiatives; understand and learn the broader business/company goals and translate those into the HR vision
- Establish consistent HR best practices across all stores
- Find opportunities to improve current processes and practices and leadchange
- Ensure alignment and consistent execution of HR initiatives and support the cascade and rollout ofmajor HR programs
- Coach field managers on how to efficiently and effectively manage their time while navigating HR-related matters
- Provide consistent communication to the HR Director Retail Canadaregarding allemployee relations issues
- Travel tour stores in specific market proactively (2-3 times/week) and on demand as well as visits 2/year for each remote market
Employee Relations
- Guide train and direct your teams on the interpretation and execution of policies and processes tomaintaincompliance anda positiveemployee experience
- Ensure legal compliance with applicable provincial Employment Standards legislation and Human Rights
- Investigate and resolve all employee relations complaints and concernsin accordance withcompany guidelines andopen-doorpolicy
- Support Loss Prevention investigations withappropriate HRadvicedocumentationand counsel
- Diagnoseperformance concerns and opportunities identifyingroot causes and offering effective and well-rounded solutions
- Create and implement proactive employee relations strategies
Health and Safety Program
- Support and reinforce Occupational H&S Regulations and guidelines
- Ensure stores consistently adhere to corporate H&S program and all relevant guidelines including requiredtrainingsand monthly H&S joint committee meetings
- Liaise with store leaders and Assistant HR Manager on workers compensation claims management and return-to-work programs.
- HR Critical Metrics
- Consistently build and review HR metrics platforms which align to sustainable field initiatives andobjectives.
- Focus on building integrity of key data based on strategic insight and the needs of the differing markets andregion.
Employee Engagement
- Support Sephoras leadership planning process coordinating andparticipatingin leadership planning meetings and ensure development plans are created andcompletedan ongoing basis.
- Build and support a culture that is focused on engagement as a foundation of store routines
- Lead the engagement action planning process and support leaders in delivering effective and meaningful action plans
- Own the annual performance appraisal process for both salaried and hourly employees ensuring content is accurately cascaded and proactively rolled up in a timelymanner
- Partner with Total Rewards on all aspects of performance appraisal and merit increase process from pre-validations to audits
- Coach and train field leadership and elevate field management teams proficiency in various aspects of HR including discipline performance management and employee relations
- Support HR onboarding for District Managers and Store Leadership
- Conduct regular HR reviews
What Youll Bring:
- You have 3-5 years of HR retail leadership experience
- University or College degree in Human Resources Management
- Strong grasp of Canadian Employment Law and sound HR judgment
- You are a constant role model for Sephoras inclusive and values driven culture
- You have excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
- You are adaptable a team player and able to lead and influence others
- You have strong organization and time-management skills
- You are a problem solver with an analytical mindset
- You thrive in a fast-paced environment and enjoy managing through ambiguity acting as a strong change management agent
- You can travel to our stores as required
- Fluently bilingual in French and English (written and spoken) is considered an asset due to potential oversight within the Quebec market
