Description:Vehicle Dynamics engineer will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of the Driving Simulator supporting product development teams in subjective evaluations of Vehicle Dynamic models. The engineer will help in the development and optimization of Suspension Steering system kinematics and compliance requirements via the usage of the Driving Simulator at times maybe be required to provide subjective and objective assessment of the Vehicle Dynamic models.
Responsibilities will also include development of SOPs tools and methodologies for enhancing the usage of the Driving Simulator.
Requirements:Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Automotive or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET accredited or equivalent program.
3 years of experience in vehicle dynamics simulation preference to using ADAMS/Car and or CarSim. Any experience in SAE or Capstone projects related to Vehicle Dynamics will be taken in account as experience.
Experience in computer programming and other automated data analysis tools (Matlab Simulink Python etc.)
Must have competency with test and simulation techniques associated with Suspension Steering system kinematics and compliance as well as full vehicle ride and handling.
Comprehensive understanding of vehicle dynamics theory and application
Excellent verbal and written communication skills and the ability to coordinate activities with other functional group.
Preferred Requirements:
Master of Science degree in Mechanical Automotive or Aerospace Engineering from an ABET accredited or equivalent program.
Experience in the Driving Simulator environment
Experience with VI CarRealtime VI DriveSim and SimWorkbench
Strong Data analytical skills and the ability to interpret data for senior management reviews
Technical aptitude for creation or analysis of objective test methods metrics and analysis techniques.
Excellent problem-solving skills
Self-motivated with good project planning skills
Proficient use of MS Office (Word Excel PowerPoint etc.)
