Job Summary

As a Procurement Supervisor you will be responsible for source selection and procurement functions directly associated with the companys needs for indirect materials & services fixed assets & tooling and select production materials and services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILIBIES

  • Source negotiate and develop new and strong vendor relations;
  • Analyze and establish proper inventory levels that minimize carrying costs while providing excellent customer service;
  • Deliver Strategic Procurement activities and services that ensure the procurement needs of the organization are met effectively efficiently and deliver best value for money;
  • Assist in negotiation of pricing and tooling issues including terms freight customs & insurances;
  • Initiate purchase orders & amendments for parts services or special tools. Arrange for submission & inspection of sample products and manage inbound supply;
  • Focus and optimize supply chain costs early in the life cycle ensuring savings are achieved against budget;
  • Ensuring the appropriate cost attached to products including freight duty currency exchange etc.
  • Identify the key projects/technologies/products and potential suppliers to develop relationships/partner with;
  • Liaison between all departments to ensure on time delivery of purchased items;
  • Develop an overall vendor base which creates and sustains a competitive advantage utilizing market exploitation leveraging spend and leveraging of technologies.
  • Perform conflict resolution between vendors and end users pertaining to supply suitability expectations and execution;
  • Deliver an exceptional client service experience while advising on complex process issues;
  • Maintain and demonstrate superior interpersonal written and oral skills in daily relations negotiations and reporting/stats;
  • Maintain complete and effective lines of communication with staff and senior management

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Post-secondary Education in a related field;
  • Five (5) years relevant work experience;
  • Operational Construction and/or Maintenance knowledge/experience;
  • Intermediate to advanced computer skills and Proficiency in SAP Ideally MRP (Material Requirements Planning) Microsoft Power Apps SALUS Outlook Excel and other required software are considered an asset
  • English perfectly spoken and written.
  • Strong leadership capabilities;
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment;
  • An ability to think outside of the box and thrive on new challenges;
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
  • Excellent organizational skills.
