Job Summary:

The primary function of thisposition is to serve as aMaintenanceOperationsTechnician ideal candidate will have:

• Prior experience andadvancedskills in maintenance and troubleshootingof mechanical machinery.

Principal Responsibilities

Safety

• Understand and adhere to company safe work policies.

• Contribute to the improvement of the Safety Health Environmentaland Quality programs.

• Applythehazardous work permit (HWP)processlockout-tagout (LOTO)and energy isolation procedures asrequiredfor company and contractor personnel.

• Followmanagement of change (MOC)proceduresfor all changes to process and operating procedures.

• Direct andmonitorcontractors.

• Lead andparticipatein operations maintenanceand safety meetings.

• Participate in safety committee activities asrequired.

Reliabilityand Maintenance

• Support plant inventorymanagementefforts.

• Follow work instructions andannotate withfeedback.

• Set up and safelyoperateall tools and equipment necessary to perform assigned work.

• Effectively prioritize and schedule all work activities.

• Perform and document process and product analyzers calibration checks.

• Instrumentation& Controls(OnceCertified):

• Performintermediatetroubleshooting of instrumentationand control valves.
• Calibrate configureand/or replace field instrumentation devices.
• Install commission and troubleshoot control valves.
• Implement plant improvement projects involving the installation of new instrumentation control valves and analyzers including associated conduit tubing and wiring.
• Perform troubleshooting of process control systems.
• Troubleshoot and repair process control equipment.
• Functionally test or troubleshoot instrument or electrical control loops through field devices to verify proper operation.

• Electrical (OnceCertified):

• Performintermediatetroubleshooting of electrical systems.
• Install and repair electrical equipment control circuits.
• Perform LOTOof electrical systemsand confirm zero energy.
• Mechanical(OnceCertified):
• Performadvancedtroubleshooting of mechanical equipment (pumps compressors).
• Completeadvancedmechanical equipment repairs including invasive teardowns and rebuilds.

Process Operation and Efficiency

• Leadshutdownsstart-upsde-rimes and production state changes for plant(s) in area.

• UtilizeaComputerized Maintenance Management System(CMMS)(SAP).

• Troubleshoot process problemsto identifyequipment requiring maintenance.

• Perform water treatmentanalysisand associatedtasks.

• Document activities and data intheplantelectroniclogbook and SAP system.

• Accepton-callduty and overtime asrequired.

People / Interpersonal

• Strong leadership skills that naturally engage others to follow.

• Maintainopenline of communication withmanagerand other stakeholders.

• Supportnew employees andentry-level technicians through coaching and mentoring.

Required Skills:

• Math -âBasic algebra fractions/percentages unit conversion.

• High mechanical aptitude and ability to work with simplemechanicshand tools.

• Advancedknowledge of chemical manufacturing hazards.

• Familiarity with commonprocess equipment andtheirfunctions.

• Understanding ofbasicelectrical hazards and safety andskills introubleshootingelectrical systems with support fromsubject matter experts.

• Instrumentation:Ability to troubleshoot 4-20 mA transmitter and electro-pneumatic control loops.

• Ability to interpret engineering drawings including P&IDs and PFDs.

• Able to navigate a document management system to find relevant work instructions forms and supporting documentation.

• Ability to completeadvancedpreventive maintenancetasksaccording to bestpractices.

• Capable ofoperatinga forklift and/or overhead crane and/or man lift.

• Certificate in a technical discipline or recent military training in a technical field.

• Electrical:Abilitytointerpret electrical drawings includingsingle-linediagrams.

• Understanding of trip and interlock logic protecting people and equipment.

• Instrumentation and Controls:Ability to troubleshoot pneumatic control systems consisting of I/Ps solenoid valves quick exhausts actuators regulatorsand proportional/integralcontrollersbothstand-aloneand cascaded.

• Instrumentation and Electrical:Befamiliar with codes and standards associated with wiring and conduit.

Basic Qualifications:

• High School diploma or equivalent
• Ten(10)years of relevant experience in a relatedprocessplant operationsmaintenanceorreliability activity.
• Physically able to perform all dutiesrequiredwhich may involve among other things; bending stooping kneeling climbing ladders and lifting and carrying loads of up to 50 lbs.

• Ability to climb to heights 200 ft above grade and work effectively.

• Valid drivers license

• Capable of distinguishingdifferent colors.
