FMD is a mid-sized certified public accounting (CPA) firm located in Birmingham MI. We are currently seeking a Full Charge Bookkeeper/Paraprofessional to join our growing team.
The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented organized and capable of assisting our clients with a variety of bookkeeping tasks. Responsibilities include maintaining accurate financial records managing accounts payable and receivable and ensuring compliance with financial regulations. This role requires a solid understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in accounting software.
Requirements
Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate records of financial transactions using double entry bookkeeping methods.
- Perform account reconciliations to ensure the integrity of financial data.
- Manage accounts payable and accounts receivable processes.
- Conduct bank reconciliations to verify account balances and resolve discrepancies.
- Assist in the preparation of financial statements and reports as needed.
- Utilize accounting software to record transactions generate reports and analyze financial data.
- Ensure compliance with public accounting standards and internal policies.
- Collaborate with other departments to provide financial insights and support decision-making.
Experience
- Proficiency in QuickBooks with a solid understanding of general ledger accounting.
- Familiarity with account reconciliation processes and bank reconciliation procedures.
- Knowledge of financial concepts relevant to bookkeeping and accounting practices.
- Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to maintain accuracy in financial records.
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a team environment.
- Experience in working with automotive dealerships strongly preferred.
