POSITION DESCRIPTION

Huron Valley Schools is seeking an enthusiastic energetic and innovative Head Football Coach.

Position Type: Athletics/Activities/Coaching

Location: Lakeland HighSchool

Salary: Per contract Schedule B

Reports To: Athletic Director

Status: School Year 2025 - 2026

Start Date:ASAP

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Able to instruct athletes in the fundamental skills strategy and physical training necessary for athletes to realize a degree of individual and team success
Coaching experience preferred
Playing experience at the high school or college level is preferred

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Provide proper safeguards for maintenance and protection of assigned equipment sites
Perform duties which may be assigned by the Athletic Director
Instills in each player a respect for equipment and school property
The position includes other unusual aspects such as extended time risk injury factors and due process predicaments
Implement and design clinics in order to promote the sport
Schedule all practices clinics camps and competitions
Continue to grow professionally by attending seminars and clinics
Maintains discipline and works to increase morale and cooperation

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:High School diploma and/or related experience.

LANGUAGE MATHEMATICAL AND REASONING SKILLS:Ability to speak and write to apply mathematical concepts to practical to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral format and deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
