Job Summary
*Business level of Japanese language skill (reading writing speaking) is required for this position
Amazon Japan is looking for a dynamic organized self-starter to join us as Financial Analyst Transportation in our headquarters in Tokyo. This leader will provide key decision-making support for Amazon Transportation business including delivery service capacity network design and cost of our commercial transportation partners as well as our own Amazon network.
The successful candidate will have the ability to tackle multiple projects and efficiently execute results. The right individual will have strong leadership skills and solid business acumen capable of driving results and improving processes. He or she will have operated successfully in a fast-paced global results-oriented environment. The successful candidate must be able to think and act both strategically and tactically. Strong oral and written communication skills are crucial as well as ability to think clearly analyze quantitatively problem-solve scope technical requirements and prioritize.
Key Responsibilities include:
- Ensuring exceptional controllership across our Amazon Transportation spending including overseeing the monthly close process ensuring proper controls are in place to protect the Companys assets and auditing data to ensure its accuracy
- Monitoring and driving the performance of the Amazon Transportation functions including overseeing preparing and reviewing daily and weekly operational and financial metrics and using these metrics to drive continuous operational improvement
- Championing technology and automation improvements for the finance function including participating in the implementation of new operational tools
- Continuously seeking out opportunities for delivery experience improvements and cost reduction and partnering with operations leadership to implement the opportunities

- BA/BS degree
- 7 years of related experience.
