The Opportunity
As the Deputy Director of Clinical Services Private you will be at the forefront of driving clinical excellence and optimising the care experience for patients doctor and staff in our wards.
The successful applicant will have extensive clinical and managerial experience specifically in private hospitals with a proven track record of driving best-in-class patient-centred care quality outcomes and staff engagement. A passion for the relentless pursuit of continuance improvement and operational efficiency is necessary.
You will provide clinical & cultural leadership clinical workforce management and operational leadership as part of the Senior Leadership Team to support the Director of Clinical Services and to assist the newly expanded private Hospital to meet its clinical operational reputational commercial and workforce objectives.
About You
You are a positive dynamic and responsive leader with excellent communication skills who is experienced at building a constructive proactive and innovative culture within your teams. Your have held senior nursing roles in private hospitals with ward leadership experience.
Key Skills and Experience
Essential
Relevant registration with the Nursing & Midwifery Board of Australia
post-graduate qualifications in Management/Leadership.
At least 5 years in senior nursing management positions in the acute hospital setting.
Proven ability to successfully lead and motivate a clinical services team
providing strong strategic direction and positive leadership
Proven strategic planning workforce analysis and policy development skills
Demonstrated ability to lead Accreditation and Continuous Improvement
processes in a Health Care facility and achieve sound outcomes
Knowledge and understanding of contemporary clinical risk management
strategies that are effective in promoting and ensuring high quality patient care
Aware of the relevant legislative requirements and governing body
reporting responsibilities of hospital/ clinical services departments
Sound computer skills using the MS Office Suite and Web based
Demonstrated sound financial management & administrative skills in a hospital setting
Desirable
Masters or working towards same (Business Health Nursing)
Demonstrated understanding of private health sector funding models.

At Ramsay Joondalup Private Hospital (RJPH) we provide specialist services for the entire family from birth through to old age and the hospital is comprised of 200 beds and 6 theatres. RJPH is co-located with our 629-bed Joondalup Public Hospital that provides public patient services.
