Basic Job Functions:
The Accounting Manager is a key member of the division leadership team and will be expected to lead the finance team to excellence. Responsibilities include but are not limited to all accounting functions including general ledger accounts payable fixed assets tax financial and compliance reporting forecasting costing files assisting with annual budget monthly balancing inventory management and recording and timely reporting of accounting records/transactions etc. This position will provide analytical support to other departments as it relates to accounting issues and driving continuous cost improvements across all aspects of the business. This role is also responsible for leading the training and development and growth opportunities for finance department teammates. Some travel required.
Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate lead and uphold safety policies practices procedures and housekeeping standards at all times.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelors Degree in Accounting Finance or Business- related field
- 3 years of accounting experience
Preferred Qualifications:
- CPA and/or MBA
- Manufacturing experience
- Leadership/supervisory experience
