Job Summary

Overview

The Advanced Practice Provider Psychiatry Care provides specialized care to patients with mental health conditions in collaboration with a psychiatrist(s). The APP assesses patients interprets diagnostic test/results and develops and implements treatment plans to address the patients unique needs in collaboration with other healthcare professionals. This role requires a high level of clinical expertise and the ability to work with patients who may have complex mental health needs. Psychiatry Care includes both Inpatient and Outpatient APPs working in Psychiatry/Behavioral Health Medicine.

EDUCATION:

Required: Master Degree Nursing Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP).

EXPERIENCE:

Required: 1-3 YEARS AS ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER; INPATIENT AND/OR OUTPATIENT PSYCHIATRIC SETTING.
Preferred: 3 YEARS AS ADVANCED PRACTICE PROVIDER; INPATIENT AND/OR OUTPATIENT PSYCHIATRIC SETTING.

LICENSURE/CERTIFICATION/REGISTRY/LISTING:

Required:
Valid North Carolina Board of Nursing Nurse Practitioner license.
Board Certified within one year of date of hire.
