Ready for a career glow-up As Senior Manager Internal Audit & Controls youll be responsible for the development implementation and testing of internal control rules and procedures within Sephora Canada ensuring full compliance with LVMH policies and procedures. The work you do will impact beauty as you will be responsible for determining the internal audit scope and leading the audits from planning to report issuance and finding closure. Reporting to the VP Finance & Strategy you will evaluate and enhance the effectiveness of risk management control and governance processes by using a systematic and disciplined approach. What Youll Do:
- Take ownership of the risk management control and governance processes at Sephora Canada
- Collaborate with the North America Internal Audit and Control team on risk and control initiatives
- Assist with the annual LVMH risk and controls assessment ensuring all required deadlines are met and high compliance rate is obtained
- Assist with managing the annual Store Audit Program including planning day-to-day management and reporting
- Use initiative to course correct when compliance issues are noted and continually work to increase compliance with the relevant business partners
- Ensure Segregation of Duties (SOD) exists in core systems through walkthroughs testing and training of business partners
- Engage with the business to proactively provide advice and guidance on risks and controls for new projects programs or initiatives while being the key point of contact for Canada control-related queries
- Partner with IT to strengthen IT controls and ensure all key IT projects include a control section
- Work closely with the business to build an exhaustive set of procedures covering all main areas of the business including Sales Inventory HR Marketing Supply Chain etc.
- Ensure all key procedures and policies are maintained and updated according to business needs and/or LVMH guidelines
- Identify loopholes and recommend effective risk aversion measures and cost savings and prepare and present reports that reflect audit results
- Hold the business accountable for the timely resolution of all action plans and conduct follow-up audits to monitor managements interventions
- Prepare for and assist with LVMH internal audits and/or external audits continuing to follow up on the implementation of their recommendations post-audit to ensure timely closure of all findings
- Maintain a crisis management process and co-ordinate company actions for Business Continuity Plans and Disaster Recovery Plans ensuring main procedures are established regularly updated and proactively managed
- Undertake special projects ad-hoc audits projects reviews or similar on request
- Engage in continuous knowledge development regarding sectors rules regulations best practices tools techniques and performance standards
What Youll Bring:
- You have an undergraduate degree in business or finance
- You hold professional qualifications such as CPA/CA CIA CISA or CFE
- You bring 5-7 years of professional experience in areas of internal and/or external audit finance controlling either in audit/consulting firms or large companies
- A background in the Retail or Consumer Packaged Goods industry is preferred
- Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures laws rules and regulation with experience in developing and leading both audits and projects
- You have excellent interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to build relationships across all levels of the organization including executive levels and non-finance personnel
- You have strong prioritization skills and succeed in fast-paced and rapidly changing work environments
- You show demonstrated success in critical thinking and decision-making understanding when to seek assistance and guidance
- You are proactive highly motived innovative and analytical and you are not afraid to challenge the status quo
- You bring expertise with Excel and various Financial Systems
- You demonstrate strong analytical skills and a high degree of comfort with financial systems preferably SAP Business Objects
