The Risk & Assurance Analyst role reports to the Risk & Assurance Lead is dedicated to enhancing the program Risk & Assurance capability enabling greater risk uplift and maturity across the program. It will involve working with a broad range of stakeholders across the program and the organisation.

About the role

The role will provide guidance and support on program Risk & Assurance matters driving implementation of Risk Management frameworks and controls. The role assists with risk identification tracking and reporting across the project life cycle helping to maintain accurate risk data and documentation engaging with stakeholders to support risk discussions and updates contributing to risk analysis and coordinating with program leads to support planning and delivery activities to drive a healthy risk culture within the program.

Role responsibilities

Support the program to enhance its maturity in risk ownership culture and awareness.

  • Enable the delivery of the projects risk management framework/requirements

  • Maintainaccurateand up-to-date records of risk activities issues and dependencies including ensuring risk dashboard are current.

  • Support theprogram todeliverprogram risk reporting identificationmonitoringfor program risk andmaintainaccurateand up-to-date records of risk activities issues and dependencies.

  • Draftresponses to audit or assurance requests and ensure documentation is collated and accessible.

  • Providing advice training and support to management and staff to enhance a positive risk and compliance culture.

  • Drivecommunication and collaboration between project teams risk leads and assurance reviewers.

  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to gather required evidence and documentation.

  • Be an active member of the Risk & Compliance Community of Practice to share information updates and insights for improvements to enterprise risk management.

Experience andknowledge

  • Proven experience in risk management/regulatory compliance in consulting or medium/large organisations.

  • Strong knowledge of delivery frameworks and qualifications in PRINCE2 PMBOK Agile and MSP an advantage

  • Commercial and pragmatic approach to delivering fit-for-purpose enterprise risk outcomes.

  • A passion for building and sustaining positive relationships with key internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to adapt to change effectively and deal with ambiguity and uncertainty.

  • Demonstrated communication and interpersonal skills and experience in giving presentationsfacilitatingmeetings production of effective written communications such as risk reports for senior leaders.

  • Experience with usingPowerBIand creating reports

  • Resilience and a strong ability to influence across all levels

Education/ Certificates

  • Preferably qualifications/certifications in a Business-related field/ or relevant experience

  • Risk & Assurance qualifications or certifications / or relevant experience

Must be willing and able to obtain and maintain and level of security clearance issued by the Australian Government Security Vetting Agency. This requires an Australian citizenship.
