Special Education Paraprofessional

Position Overview

The Special Education Paraprofessional plays a vital role in ensuring that all students including those with exceptionalities receive the individualized support and high-quality instruction they need to thrive. This teacher will collaborate with general education teachers families and service providers to create inclusive learning environments and to deliver instruction aligned with each students Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

Key Responsibilities

Instruction & Support

• Provide direct instruction to students with disabilities in inclusive and small group settings.
   

• Differentiate instruction to meet the unique learning needs of students with IEPs.
   

• Modify and adapt curriculum materials as needed to support student access and engagement.
   

• Monitor and document student progress adjusting instruction as necessary.
   

Collaboration & Compliance

• Develop implement and manage IEPs in compliance with state and federal regulations.
   

• Collaborate closely with general education teachers to co-plan lessons accommodations and modifications.
   

• Partner with families to communicate student progress and build supportive home-school relationships.
   

• Coordinate with related service providers (e.g. speech OT PT) to ensure cohesive support.

• Demonstrated knowledge of special education compliance instruction and behavior supports.

Compensation and Benefits:

This is a Full-Time 10-month teaching position.
