Role Description

Senior application analyst with the goal of joining the support and application development team for Mainframe applications in the credit area.

Responsibilities / Main Activities

• Perform Technical Analysis new developments or impacts on existing software based on Functional Specifications.

• Prepare unit and system test plans; execute unit and system tests for projects managed by or involving the team.

• Prepare technical documentation and others in accordance with the methodologies in force at novobanco.

• Develop software according to programming rules and the development framework in force at novobanco based on previously prepared Technical Analysis documents.

• Analyse and resolve incidents including accounting discrepancies and bug fixes.

• Monitor batch chains including support for the nightly production batch integrated in a rotating schedule.

Main Competency Areas (>10 years experience)

• Strong knowledge of Cobol DB2 CICS JCL.

• At least 10 years of experience in technical analysis and programming.

• Functional knowledge of the Credit domain preferably amortizable subsidized credit mortgage credit Bills/Discounts Received Guarantees and Credit Recovery.

• Knowledge of accounting applied to credit applications.

Essential Technical Skills (>10 years experience)

• COBOL

• DB2

• CICS

• JCL

• Control-M

Preferred Knowledge

• EDz (development framework)

• ALM Quality Center

• BMC Remedy

• Knowledge of novobanco methodologies and tools (CMMI LEAN IT)

Interpersonal Skills

• Strong sense of responsibility.

• Good communication and interpersonal skills.

• Flexibility to deal with shifting priorities and production support needs.

• Strong personal organization.

• Ability to handle multiple topics in parallel.
