As a Software Engineer III - Automation Test Engineer at JPMorgan Chase within theCommercial & Investment BankTeam youll serve as a seasoned member of an agile team to design and deliver trusted market-leading technology products in a secure stable and scalable way. You are responsible for carrying out critical technology solutions across multiple technical areas within various business functions in support of the firms business objectives.
Job responsibilities
- Architect implement and maintain scalable automation frameworks for UI and API testing using modern and AI-based tools.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define test strategies select appropriate automation tools and establish best practices for test automation.
- Leverage AI-powered automation platforms to enhance test coverage optimize test execution and improve defect detection.
- Develop and execute automated tests for web a applications ensuring seamless user experiences and validating UI functionality.
- Build and maintain automated tests for RESTful and SOAP APIs validating data integrity security and performance.
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines enabling rapid feedback and continuous quality assurance.
Required qualifications capabilities and skills
- Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 3 years applied experience
- Experience in Java / Python / Javascript
- Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Science Engineering or related field.
- Hands-on practical experience in QA automation
- Hands-on experience in automation frameworks (e.g. Selenium Cypress Playwright Appium)
- Expertise in API testing tools
- Ability to analyze complex systems identify test scenarios and troubleshoot issues efficiently.
Preferred qualifications capabilities and skills
- Familiarity with modern front-end technologies
- Exposure to cloud technologies
- Experience working with AI-based or next-gen automation tools is preferred.
- Familiarity with CI/CD tools (e.g. Jenkins GitLab CI Azure DevOps).
- Hands on experience in karate API testing.
