Job Summary
We are looking for a skilled Azure Security Engineer to design implement and manage security controls across Microsoft Azure environments. The ideal candidate will have strong hands-on experience in Azure security services cloud governance threat protection and incident response ensuring secure and compliant cloud infrastructure for enterprise workloads.
Key Responsibilities
• Design implement and manage security solutions within Microsoft Azure environments.
• Configure and monitor Azure security services including Microsoft Defender for Cloud Azure Sentinel (SIEM) Azure Policy and Azure Monitor.
• Implement identity and access management using Azure AD (Entra ID) RBAC Conditional Access and MFA.
• Secure Azure networking components such as NSGs Azure Firewall Application Gateway and WAF.
• Perform security assessments vulnerability management and risk analysis for Azure workloads.
• Monitor investigate and respond to cloud security incidents and alerts.
• Ensure compliance with security standards and frameworks such as NIST ISO 27001 CIS Benchmarks and organizational policies.
• Collaborate with cloud architects DevOps and SOC teams to embed security best practices.
• Develop and maintain security documentation playbooks and standard operating procedures.
• Stay updated with emerging Azure security features threats and best practices.
Required Skills & Qualifications
• Strong hands-on experience securing Microsoft Azure environments.
• Experience with Azure Sentinel (SIEM) Defender for Cloud and log analytics.
• Solid understanding of Azure AD (Entra ID) identity governance RBAC and Conditional Access.
• Knowledge of Azure networking and security controls (NSGs Firewall WAF).
• Experience with vulnerability management and security posture management.
• Understanding of cloud security concepts zero trust architecture and shared responsibility model.
• Good knowledge of Windows and Linux operating systems.
• Strong analytical troubleshooting and communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
• Azure security certifications such as:
• AZ-500: Microsoft Azure Security Technologies
• Microsoft Certified: Security Operations Analyst (SC-200)
• Experience with scripting or automation (PowerShell Azure CLI).
• Exposure to DevSecOps practices and CI/CD pipeline security.
