We are seeking a passionate and experienced Mathematics Teacher to join our Middle School and High School faculty in August 2026. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Teach Mathematics to Middle and High School students following IB standards and curriculum requirements.
- Design and deliver engaging lessons that develop problem-solving logical reasoning and analytical skills.
- Foster a growth mindset and encourage students to explore mathematical concepts through inquiry-based learning.
- Differentiate instruction to support diverse learners and challenge students at all levels.
- Assess and track student progress regularly providing feedback and adapting teaching methods as needed.
- Integrate technology and digital tools to enhance learning experiences including graphing software and interactive platforms.
- Actively contribute to the schools extra-curricular programs such as math clubs competitions and STEM initiatives.
- Collaborate with colleagues across disciplines to create interdisciplinary learning opportunities aligned with the IB philosophy.
- Mentor students guiding their personal academic and social development.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians on student progress and development.
- Ensure teaching aligns with IB inquiry-based learning and school values promoting curiosity and a love for mathematics.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
- A university degree in Mathematics or a related field with a recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching mathematics to Middle and High School students preferably in an international or IB school.
- Familiarity with IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and IB Diploma Programme (DP) and inquiry-based mathematics education.
- Proven ability to create a dynamic engaging classroom environment that fosters problem-solving and critical thinking.
- Proficiency in technology integration to enhance mathematics instruction through digital tools and interactive platforms.
- Excellent communication skills with fluency in English (basic French is an advantage).
- A collaborative mindset able to work effectively with colleagues across multiple disciplines.
- Flexibility and adaptability in a multicultural environment.
- A commitment to professional development and keeping up with educational best practices.
- A solutions-oriented mindset with a passion for inspiring students to explore and love mathematics.
