The co-op program is an educational and clinical work experience for the high school students. The individual is responsible and accountable for performing a wide range of patient care tasks. The performance of tasks allows the care team to provide quality care.Job Duties:
- The position will focus on providing patient care within a clinical scope of practice.
- Fulfills designated responsibilities for ongoing continuum of care (non-assessment).
- Identifies observes and documents the physical needs of the patient according to standards.
- Assists with patient transfer and transport as needed.
- Assists in problem solving trouble shooting and taking corrective measures in care and maintenance of equipment and supplies.
- Assists in clerical responsibilities as required for task completion.
- Suggests issues for improvement and offer solutions on issues.

Position Details:
This is a NEW CLINICAL CO-OP FOR THE 2026-2027 SCHOOL YEAR. Please see below for the student scope:
- Review all safery and infectious control procedures
- Assist with gathering supplies scanning requisitions and restocking
- Observe specimen ordering collection and processing
- Learn about blood specimens and other specimens collected in the lab
- Learn to tie tourniquets and feel for veins
- Practice on a fake arm
- Learn to read and understand tests as it relates to healthcare
- If over 18 allow to centrifuge and aliquot blood and urine
