Position : CAD Detailer
Working Schedule : 9a-5p PST
Salary Range : $3000 - $3500 / USD month(the final salary will be determined by the candidates level of experience and at the discretion of the client)
Overview
The CAD Detailer (Exhibit & Event Design Support) produces high-quality technical drawings and 3D renderings that bring exhibit and event concepts to life. This role is 65% technical and 35% creative ideal for a detail-oriented CAD professional who enjoys visualizing space structure and flow. The position supports sales and production teams by preparing precise floor plans booth layouts and renderings for tradeshows and conferences.
This is a strong development role for someone with foundational CAD experience (12 years) who wants to grow into a full Exhibit Design Specialist over time.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and update detailed 2D CAD floor plans for event spaces including booth layouts aisles registration areas and traffic flow.
- Develop 3D renderings and visuals to support proposals and internal presentations (using tools like SketchUp 3ds Max or Revit).
- Translate concepts from sales and project management teams into accurate buildable drawings that comply with venue and safety standards.
- Collaborate closely with production staff to ensure drawings align with fabrication logistics and setup requirements.
- Maintain version control and organized libraries of CAD and rendering files.
- Revise plans and visuals in response to internal feedback and project changes under tight deadlines.
- Support proposal documentation with visuals and technical references limited direct client interaction.
- Ensure all design outputs maintain accuracy consistency and high-quality presentation standards.
Qualifications
- 12 years of professional CAD experience ideally in architecture interior design event or exhibit production environments.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (required) and rendering software such as SketchUp Revit 3ds Max or equivalent (essential).
- Solid understanding of technical drawing conventions including dimensions layers and title blocks.
- Strong visual sense and spatial reasoning with attention to detail.
- Excellent organizational skills and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Strong time and calendar management able to meet tight deadlines.
- Good communication skills; collaborative team-oriented and responsive to feedback.
- Language-neutral communication (clear written and verbal English).
Preferred / Nice to Have
- Exposure to the tradeshow exhibit or event design industry.
- Familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator InDesign) for layout or visual support.
- Interest in growing toward creative exhibit design and client-facing responsibilities over time.
