We are seeking an experienced and results-driven Director of Sales to lead our sales organization expand market share and drive revenue growth across all GreenCircle Certified services. The Director of Sales will be a key member of our leadership team responsible for developing and executing strategies that strengthen client relationships and position GreenCircle Certified as the industry leader in third-party sustainability verification and certification.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales Leadership & Execution: Lead by example as a hands-on seller managing key accounts and personally driving new business opportunities to meet and exceed sales targets. You will spend at least 50% of your time as a doer.
Strategic Leadership: Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies that align with organizational goals and accelerate business growth across all certification and verification service lines.
Team Management: Build mentor and lead a high-performing sales team fostering a culture of accountability collaboration and continuous improvement.
Client Development: Identify and cultivate new client relationships while maintaining and expanding existing partnerships within sustainability manufacturing and corporate responsibility sectors.
Sales Operations: Oversee forecasting pipeline management pricing and proposals. Ensure CRM and project data accuracy to support strategic decision-making.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with Operations Marketing and Executive Leadership to align sales efforts with broader business initiatives and client service excellence.
Skills and Competencies:
- Proven success as a hands-on seller with a consistent record of exceeding individual and team sales targets exceeding 1million in sales revenue per year.
- Proven leadership and team development experience.
- Demonstrated success designing and executing effective sales strategies.
- Strong track record of achieving and exceeding revenue goals.
- In-depth understanding of consultative sales and B2B relationship management.
- Analytical mindset with the ability to interpret market data and adjust strategies accordingly.
- Creative problem-solver with a growth-oriented mindset.
- Exceptional communication negotiation and presentation skills.
- Proficiency in CRM platforms and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced evolving environment.
Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree and/or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of 5 years in sales leadership roles with a proven record of business growth and team success.
- Experience in sustainability environmental services certification or consulting strongly preferred.
- Experience managing remote or hybrid teams.
