The Opportunity & School Profile
This Outstanding academy seeks a highly motivated Physics ECT to join its Science faculty on a part-time basis. The school requires an individual passionate about physical forces and investigation focusing on Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4. This part-time role offers a structured curriculum and dedicated mentoring time ideal for an ECT balancing other commitments.
Core Responsibilities & Teaching Scope
- Force Field Specialist: Instructing Science (Physics) across Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4 (GCSE) only proportionate to the teaching fraction.
- Practical Pioneer: Driving high attainment by fostering strong practical and investigative skills especially in electrical and mechanical principles.
- Lab Support: Assisting with the preparation of materials for practical lessons and managing equipment.
Compensation & Benefits
- Essential Requirements: Hold or be soon to obtain QTS. Relevant Degree in Physics or a related field.
- Salary: Excellent pro-rata salary paid on the national Teachers Pay Scale (M/UPS) reflecting Inner London weighting.
- Support: Robust structured ECT induction program and reduced timetable for non-contact time.
