The Reception Teacher will work closely with families to support routines and early-year development lead transition planning into Year 1 and mentor support staff in implementing continuous provision. The Reception Teacher will be part of a reflective team committed to inclusive practice and strong outcomes across the Wiltshire setting.
Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver a play-rich EYFS curriculum that develops language independence and early number.
- Use detailed observations to inform planning and to set precise next steps for each child.
- Lead transition into Year 1 and maintain strong liaison with parents and carers.
- Support and develop TAs manage learning journals and ensure the environment promotes curiosity and learning.
- Contribute to whole-school early-years priorities and professional development in Wiltshire.
Person specification
- Qualified teacher with solid Reception/EYFS experience and confident assessment practice.
- Creative organised and excellent at building relationships with families and colleagues.
- Enthusiastic about working in Wiltshire and able to start January 2026.
