Job Summary
GAMESA ELECTRIC a company belonging to the ABB Group is currently looking for a CONVERT HW DESIGN ENGINEER.
Your Role and Responsibilities
In this role youll help run what runs the world by taking on meaningful work that drives real impact.
Engineering with hand-on experience in high-power converter design for wind photovoltaic or industrial applications. We require at least 5 years experience designing high-power converters (>500 kW desirable >50 kW minimum). University experience is relevant as long as it involves high-power converters. Experience designing low power converters (<10 kW) is not relevant for this position.
- Converter topology trade-off analysis and selection
- Converter sizing and design reports
- Converter power losses and efficiency calculation
- Converters thermal and electromechanical design
- Converter electrical components specification & selection
- Converter test definition
- Product support
- Test benches design and test benches troubleshooting
- Test reports

Qualifications for the
- Technical or Higher Engineering degree (preferably in electrical industrial or electronic engineering fields)
- More than 5 years experience on power converter design testing and certification
- English level B1-B2
- Additional training: Software Tools required: Matlab PLECS PSIM. Health & Safety competences LV equipment certification
