Position Summary:
IT Project Manager leads project teams to design and implement new applications and systems or enhance existing applications and systems. Successfully deliver projects that meet scope schedule and budget. Project Managers are accountable for successfully delivering projects while adhering to Intuitives playbook and standard project tools. Candidates need to demonstrate strong written verbal and communication abilities exceptional presentation skills and a focused commitment to achieving goals.
Duties:
Responsible for the management of one or more small and medium-sized projects that are moderately complex. Project managers are to complete assigned projects within the defined start and end dates established scope of work within budget and specified performance objectives. The project manager is responsible for ensuring that all project deliverables are completed and documented.
Responsibilities include:
Exercise independent judgment and discretion related to project execution
Responsible for leading one or more projects typically between *** - ***
Gather define and document project requirements
Clearly define and communicate roles responsibilities and expectations for all project team members
Independently plan and maintain project tasks and schedule to successfully deliver projects
Ability to think out of the box and creatively solve complex project challenges
Lead project teams to deliver projects on time and on budget
Conduct project kick-off meetings and phase gate reviews
Ensure all project team members have the tools and training necessary to perform effectively
Record track and communicate project issues risks changes and status complying with PMO standards
Drive all project related tasks and work streams to successful completion
Develop and maintain up-to-date detailed project schedules and work plans
Monitor critical project milestones identifying and mitigating risks and issues
Proactively address project risks and issues following procedural guidelines
Assess project performance and implement changes as necessary to ensure projects remain within budget schedule and scope
Communicate project status to all stakeholders and leadership in an accurate and timely manner
Develop and maintain a productive working relationship with project sponsors vendors and key stakeholders
Prepare all project documentation ensuring accuracy and completeness
Qualifications
Minimum:
5 years experience managing one or more moderately complex IT product/software development cycles/projects
Strong verbal and written communication; effective presenter
Advanced understanding of project management principles and methodologies
Experience working in a PMO environment as Project Lead or Project Manager on medium to complex projects
Advanced PM knowledge and technical competence
Desired:
Experience managing projects for facilities and/or physical security
Experience managing project for implementing and upgrading collaboration tools (Zoom Office360 Slack Box Lucid)
Proficient in using Project management tools e.g. Smartsheet Anaplan
Understanding of IT roles and responsibilities
Experience in managing resource plans and resource balancing across projects and programs
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from PMI.
