The entry requirements are flexible and further specific training can be given the most important aspects are your willingness to work with people and engage them with Quality; being able to help people overcome their resistance to change and take pride in a high-quality finished product. You should be visible present and engaging on the shopfloor along with being a great communicator well organised and have strong IT skills.

Key responsibilities for the role of Quality Coordinator:

Implementing and maintaining quality management systems
Conducting regular quality audits and inspections on the production floor
Oversee quality across our manufacturing operations
Working with external auditors and certification bodies
Identifying quality issues and leading improvement initiatives
Training and supporting production staff on quality standards
Maintaining quality records and preparing performance reports
Managing customer complaints and corrective actions
Being the go-to person for all quality matters on site

Experience and characteristics required for the role of Quality Coordinator :

A qualification in Quality Engineering Manufacturing or similar or equivalent hands-on experience
Experience in a manufacturing or quality role
Experience doing quality checks inspections or audits
Solid IT skills including Excel
Excellent organisational skills a keen eye for detail enjoy practical problem-solving
Clear communicator who can work with people at all levels in an engaging and genuine manner
Self-motivated team player whos willing to learn
Full UK driving licence

Desirable:

Higher qualification (HNC/HND or equivalent)
Knowledge of ISO 9001 or quality systems
Training in Lean Continuous Improvement 5S 6S or Six Sigma
Experience coaching or training others
