You should be visible present and engaging on the shopfloor along with being a great communicator well organised and have strong IT skills.
Key responsibilities for the role of Quality Coordinator:
- Implementing and maintaining quality management systems
- Conducting regular quality audits and inspections on the production floor
- Oversee quality across our manufacturing operations
- Working with external auditors and certification bodies
- Identifying quality issues and leading improvement initiatives
- Training and supporting production staff on quality standards
- Maintaining quality records and preparing performance reports
- Managing customer complaints and corrective actions
- Being the go-to person for all quality matters on site
Experience and characteristics required for the role of Quality Coordinator :
- A qualification in Quality Engineering Manufacturing or similar or equivalent hands-on experience
- Experience in a manufacturing or quality role
- Experience doing quality checks inspections or audits
- Solid IT skills including Excel
- Excellent organisational skills a keen eye for detail enjoy practical problem-solving
- Clear communicator who can work with people at all levels in an engaging and genuine manner
- Self-motivated team player whos willing to learn
- Full UK driving licence
Desirable:
- Higher qualification (HNC/HND or equivalent)
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 or quality systems
- Training in Lean Continuous Improvement 5S 6S or Six Sigma
- Experience coaching or training others
