Our well-established maintenance team based inTownsvilleare currently seeking aSignal Electricianto join their team on a permanent full-time basis.

As aSignal Electricianyou will carry out the installation maintenance and repair of signalling equipment as well as report on the performance and condition of signalling assets. You will play a key role in achieving our vision of delivering world-class rail services for our customers by ensuring the safety and reliability of our assets and services.

Working out of our Bohle depot and reporting to the Wayside Systems Coordinator you will be joining a large team of signal electricians and apprentices. The Townsville team maintains various signalling assets spanning 250km of the North Coast line.

Total remuneration package of$193000 (including allowances)
9 day fortnight roster - Mon-Fri Mon-Thurs (3 day weekend every fortnight)

Purpose that counts. Your key responsibilities will include:

Install maintain repair and adjust electrical signalling equipment.
Undertake scheduled maintenance activities on signalling equipment.
Attend signalling failures to analyse repair and report on cause of failures.
Maintain records and documentation relating to signal maintenance and costing systems.
Report on actual work performed against the scheduled work program and report any equipment irregularities.
Work predominately between the hours of 0715 to 1615 on a 9-day fortnight

We are looking to connect with someone who has:

Certificate IV Railway Signalling

A current C Class Drivers Licence
A Current Queensland Electrical Mechanic Licence or interstate equivalent that can be changed over prior to starting
Low Voltage Rescue (12 Months) certificate
Experience in the installation maintenance and fault rectification of signalling equipment
Capacity to travel and work within regional Queensland
