Were looking for an aspiringelectrician who is keen to upskill and become aPower Station Operator Electrician (FIFO)to join our team at our Porphyry site in WA. You will manage maintain and run all aspects of our diesel / solar hybrid power station located on our clients mine site on a rotational roster.

What youll do:

  • Delivery of Operation & Maintenance programs to ensure reliable and safe power station operation

  • Manage companys QHSE policies and procedures on sites

  • Perform all electrical operational maintenance trouble shooting & repair tasks on all power station equipment & ancillaries (including generators transformers distribution boards fuel pumping system solar inverters batteries)

  • Operate the power plant SCADA system

  • Deliver contractual power production to the Customer ensuring accurate power production readings in the correct format

  • Ensure optimum stock levels of spares and consumables for the site requirements

  • Maintain good working relationship with client personnel

  • Housekeeping of station site work areas and site vehicles

  • Be prepared to learn minor mechanical maintenance basic servicing skills

To thrive in this role youll have the following skills and experience:

  • Qualified Electrician with an A Grade Electrical License with the ability to obtain a Western Australia electrical license

  • Proven previous experience as power station operator advantageous but not essential

  • Able to comprehend & understand all engineering electrical and mechanical schematics and P&IDs

  • Power generation experience is an advantage but not essential

  • Valid Drivers License

  • Telehandler License preferred or willingness to undergo training

  • UPS SCADA PLC experience

  • Be proactive and willing to take responsibility as time will be spent onsite without direct supervision

  • LVR/CPR
