Job Summary

The Richmond Behavioral Health Authority is seeking a highly energetic and motivated Lead Licensed or License Eligible Clinician to join our Emergency ServicesTeam.

This incumbent will performdifficult professional work providing direct clinical service to clients involving intake assessing client needs developing treatment plans providing prevention services managing cases providing therapy maintaining records and files preparing reports and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the general direction of the Program Supervisor.

Essential Functions

Provides ongoing clinical and administrative supervision to staff providing services to clients.

Supervises and oversees the work of staff; coaches counsels disciplines and evaluates staff performance; tracks attendance/personal leave; addresses complaints and resolves problems of staff.

Performs intakes client assessments and diagnostic interviews; conducts mental health assessment and monitors level of functioning.

Observes psycho-educational groups facilitated by subordinates to clients and provides clinical feedback.

Monitors and audits clinical and medical records and practices for compliance with regulatory reimbursement and agency standards; reviews documentation for accuracy; reviews and signs paperwork of case managers.

Coordinates case management services; coordinates and links client to community resources and medical services; interfaces with other service providers and client support system.

Facilitates monthly meetings to discuss client concerns or changes; consults with teams and committees in the planning and development of treatment and discharge plans.

Serves as lead contact for communications from State facilities regarding admission and discharge clients.

Serves as a representative at interdisciplinary treatment team meetings and clinical staffings/case consultations; attends other meetings as required.

Monitors client compliance with discharge plans.

Represents clients and Authority in court and legal proceedings.

Prepares various reports and case related correspondence.

Provides case management services in the absence of the case manager.

Attends professional conferences and trainings as required.
