Recruitment Number 25-271KSArchitect V SR-26D($6535 per month) to SR-26L ($8945 per month)* Honolulu Oahu.

Summary of Duties
The Architect V position is located in the Capital and Improvement Projects (CIP) Division of the Policy and Planning Department and supports the Divisions responsibility for developing administering and evaluating Judiciary capital improvement projects. The CIP Division also manages major and minor procurements and execution of contracts for professional services renovations and CIP work; coordinates hazardous-materials testing and remediation; and reviews rental and lease agreements for Judiciary facilities statewide.
The position provides technical expertise to Judiciary administrators; plans and coordinates short- and long-range capital improvement projects; and works closely with State and private-sector architecture and engineering (A/E) professionals. Responsibilities include advising on designs cost estimates renovation and construction plans and lease agreements; conducting site visits to assess conditions feasibility and code compliance; and preparing designs drawings and specifications for minor projects. The position also oversees architectural services during constructionapproving shop drawings evaluating change requests clarifying design details and reviewing post-contract drawingswhile preparing funding justifications participating in final inspections investigating construction-related issues supporting statewide CIP planning and serving as liaison with DAGS A/E consultants and contractors; and performs other related duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualification Requirements
Education: A bachelors degree from an accredited college or university in architecture or architectural engineering; or an equivalent combination of education and experience in architecture work which satisfies the requirements of the State of Hawaiis Board of Professional Engineers Architects Surveyors and Landscape Architects.
Specialized Experience:One (1) year of registered professional architectural engineering experience.
License Requirements:
- Applicants must possess a valid and current license and registration as a professional architect in the State of Hawaii; and
- A valid and current drivers license to operate a motor vehicle.
