J.P. Morgans Subsidiary Banking franchise supports the EMEA subsidiaries of global clients delivering integrated banking solutions and leveraging our global network. The team focuses on Japanese-headquartered clients working closely with colleagues in Tokyo and product specialists across EMEA to deliver tailored financial solutions.
Job Summary
As an Associate you will manage a portfolio of Japanese multinational clients with subsidiaries in Europe and the UK. You will act as a bridge between our Tokyo and EMEA teams ensuring seamless client coverage and delivery of J.P. Morgans full suite of products. This role offers exposure to cross-border banking relationship management and complex financial solutions.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage a defined portfolio of Japanese multinational clients with EMEA subsidiaries acting as their primary point of contact in Europe and the UK.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients and internal teams.
- Identify new business opportunities and support the growth of the Japanese client portfolio.
- Collaborate with product specialists to deliver integrated financial solutions.
- Ensure thorough understanding and execution of Know Your Customer (KYC) responsibilities and cross-border regulatory requirements.
- Support client onboarding and ongoing relationship management.
- Work closely with internal stakeholders to deliver client service.
Required Qualifications Capabilities and Skills
- Relevant experience in corporate banking payments or subsidiary banking
- Strong understanding of Japanese corporate clients and their overseas banking needs
- Excellent communication skills in English and Japanese
- Proven relationship management and problem-solving abilities
- Strong organisational analytical and teamwork skills
- Ability to travel in Europe as required
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working in corporate banking or payments in Japan
- Knowledge of EMEA financial and regulatory environments
- Experience in cross-border client coverage and deal execution
