Duties and Responsibilities
The New Vehicle Prep Technician is responsible for the complete pre-delivery process of new vehicles including inspections dealer-installed accessories cosmetic preparation quality checks and digital reporting. Key Responsibilities
- Perform full Pre-Delivery Inspections (PDIs) following manufacturer guidelines.
- Complete Digital Vehicle Inspections (MPVI) as required.
- Prepare vehicles for delivery including fluids tire pressures fuel and protective material removal.
- Install dealer-added accessories (floor mats mud flaps running boards tonneau covers bed liners etc.).
- Follow proper torque specs wiring procedures and installation standards.
- Ensure vehicles meet dealership readiness standards before release.
- Document work performed thoroughly and accurately.
- Maintain a clean safe and organized work area.
- Follow all dealership and manufacturer safety guidelines.
Qualifications :
- Knowledge of automotive systems components and repair procedures.
- Must have own set of tools.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Valid drivers license and a clean driving record.
- All applicants must be authorized to work in the USA.
- All applicants must be able to demonstrate ability to pass pre-employment testing to include background checks MVR drug test and valid driver license.
Additional Information :
Compensation (Hourly: Flat-rate):
- $18.00 - $20.00 / hour
- Depending on experience certifications and qualifications
(The Technician Position has a Pay Scale consisting of the following elements and ranges. Wages include Base Hourly Compensation of between $18.00 and $20.00)
Schedule
- FULL TIME
- 5 days a week / 2 days off
- Sundays off
