Job Purpose
The Engineering function serves as the backbone of innovation and operational excellence within the organization. It is responsible for driving all engineering activities to ensure business objectives are achieved efficiently and effectively.
As a Process/Manufacturing Engineer you will play a critical role in shaping the efficiency and quality of our production operations. Your mission is to design implement and continuously refine manufacturing processes to ensure they operate within established parameters delivering products that meet the highest standards of quality and reliability. This position is not just about maintaining processesits about driving innovation optimizing performance and contributing to the long-term success of our manufacturing strategy.
Responsibilities
- Actively participate in initiatives to achieve organizational quality objectives.
- Identify and propose innovated ideas that drive continuous improvement in processes and overall operations.
- Develop and review work methods equipment tools and manufacturing techniques to improve product quality process efficiency and workforce productivity.
- Conduct detailed analysis and studies document findings and use results to support product development process standardization and quality control.
- Inspect damaged materials determine root causes of product failure and implement corrective actions to minimize scraps.
- Analyze test data against design parameters and customer specifications; adjust processes or equipment to meet quality standards.
- Recommend improvements to test procedures specifications and equipment.
- Maintain accurate calibration logs schedule periodic calibrations and archive certificates to ensure equipment reliability.
- Collaborate with maintenance teams to guarantee equipment performance and compliance with manufacturing guidelines.
- Train and evaluate plant personnel periodically to ensure operational competency and adherence to quality standards.
- Communicate evaluation methodologies and company policies clearly to team members.
- Motivate and supervise employees to maintain high efficiency productivity and morale.
- Ensure strict adherence to company policies standards and procedures.
- Participate in quality audits analyze findings and coordinate corrective actions to eliminate nonconformities.
- Implement irreversible changes and monitor long-term improvements to meet quality manual requirements and standards.
- Maintain a clean organized and safe work environment.
- Conduct regular inspections to identify and correct unsafe conditions ensuring compliance with hygiene and safety standards.
- Prepare and submit accurate reports on time.
- Attend planning and coordination meetings contributing ideas and solutions to operational challenges.
- Support the development or transfer of new products and processes from other divisions or business partners.
- Perform additional tasks aligned with skills and capabilities as requested by the inmediate supervisor.
Qualifications :
Minimum 2 years of experience in process or manufacturing engineering roles.
Bachelors degree in industrial or manufacturing engineering.
Proficiency in SolidWorks and Arena Software.
Knowledge and experience in Lean Manufacturing principles (including Value Stream Mapping).
In-depth knowledge of electronic technologies and manufacturing processes.
Strong understanding of electronic technologies and manufacturing processes.
Strong leadership and communication skills demonstrated through the creation of clear technical documentation comprehensive written reports and persuasive proposals.
Skilled in developing and delivering impactful presentations while maintaining strong active listening skills and the ability to communicate effectively with customers and vendors.
Intermediate spoken and written English skills.

- Failure to achieve results can normally be overcome without serious effect on schedules and programs.
Scope and Complexity:
Works on problems of diverse scope where analysis of situations or data requires a review.

Frequent inter-organizational and outside customer contacts.
Health Safety and Environment Requirements:
Must be able to sit for extend periods of time; a minimum of 2 hours.
Must be able to maneuver to all areas of the office shop warehouse or manufacturing plant.
Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and carry up to 25 pounds.
Must be able to bend reach kneel twist and grip items while working at assigned desk area.
Must have the manual dexterity and coordination to operate office equipment
Must be able to simultaneously manage several objectives and reassign priorities.
Must be able to read write speak and understand English.
Must be able to respond to visual and aural cues.
Complete all work in a safe manner and follow all safety requirements consistent with supporting the Companys goals.
Lifting guidelines in accordance with the Manual Lifting Guidelines noted in the Safety Handbook.
Follow all environmental requirements consistent with supporting the companys environmental performance goals.
Complete and actively participate in all other EHS training requirements.
Work environment is typically considered within a Smiths Interconnect location during normal or extended business hours to include offices manufacturing plants and repair facilities. Work environment may also include customer sites including oil well sites and meetings venus. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud and approved PPE is required when on the factory floor.
