About the role:
Lead a high-performing Microbiology Lab team to ensure product safety compliance and operational excellence. Youll own the Micro Control Plan elevate data integrity and drive continuous improvement across the plant.
What youll do:
Lead and develop the Microlab team; manage resources training and scheduling.
Own the Micro Control Plan: risk assessments sampling plans and annual environmental reporting.
Analyze and report microbiological results for finished goods raw materials water surfaces in-process bulk and environmental samples (traditional and rapid methods).
Ensure data integrity second-level reviews and audit readiness (records logbooks traceability).
Maintain and improve SOPs and validation documents (eMOC DQ/IQ/OQ/PQ work instructions).
Create and manage nonconformances in SAP/LIMS; report OOS/alerts/actions across water WIP environment and surfaces.
Deliver training on Micro Awareness Cleaning & Sanitation and GMP to lab and plant teams.
Support supplier audits and plant initiatives; lead CI projects (RCA/CAPA) and special programs.
Implement and sustain LIMS audit trails and system backups.
Optimize operating supplies and lab costs while meeting safety and health requirements.
Required qualifications:
Bachelors degree in Microbiology Bacteriology or related field.
At least 2 years of experience in a similar role within CPG or a regulated manufacturing environment.
Preferred qualifications:
People leadership experience.
Intermediate English.
Familiarity with CI tools (RCA/CAPA) and programs such as ECOLAB CHARM and related plant systems.
Strong knowledge of microbiological methods and quality systems; comfortable with risk assessment and environmental monitoring.
