Were seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accountant to join our team. This role supports a wide range of accounting functions from payables and receivables to reconciliations and inventory analysis contributing to the overall accuracy and efficiency of our financial operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage the Accounts Payable (AP) process including PO and non-PO vouchering vendor communications PO matching and timely payment execution.
- Review all AP documents for proper documentation approval and compliance with internal controls.
- Backup to support Accounts Receivable (AR) activities such as customer invoicing credit memos and payment application ensuring accuracy and timely collections.
- Support AI-driven process improvements in AP and AR workflows to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Prepare and review bank reconciliations identifying and resolving discrepancies to maintain accurate cash records.
- Backup help with inventory analysis to ensure proper valuation reconcile inventory accounts and collaborate with operations on variances.
- Assist in month-end and year-end close processes including journal entries accruals and reconciliations.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to maintain workflow continuity and provide training/support during team absences.
- Assist with year-end financial audits including providing required documentation and analysis.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance preferred (equivalent experience considered).
- Proven experience with Microsoft Office including advanced Excel skills (pivot tables VLOOKUP data validation).
- Strong understanding of GAAP accounting principles including journal entries cost allocations and reconciliations.
- Experience in a manufacturing environment with familiarity in ERP systems such as Epicor.
- Ability to analyze complex data sets and provide actionable insights to support management decisions.
- Demonstrated flexibility and ability to cross-train across accounting functions ensuring team efficiency and operational continuity.
