Overview:

The Manager Research is responsible for leading and coordinating a multidisciplinary team working across multiple concurrent projects. This role requires strong people management skills experience managing consultancy-style teams where resources are dispatched dynamically and the ability to develop structured KPIs and effective reporting processes. The Manager will ensure efficient workflows high-quality outputs and seamless collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

• Directly report to the Research Operations Manager and provide regular updates on project status team performance and key risks.

• Manage mentor and support a diverse team of researchers Software Engineers Machine Learning Engineers QA testers and specialized contributors working on different projects simultaneously.

• Coordinate resource allocation in a consultancy-style environment assigning team members to support various internal teams and shifting priorities.

• Oversee workload distribution prioritize tasks and maintain timelines to ensure high productivity and consistent quality.

• Develop track and maintain KPIs for team performance project delivery and quality assurance.

• Prepare structured reports and dashboards for leadership highlighting key insights operational metrics and areas for improvement.

• Foster a collaborative environment that encourages communication knowledge sharing and effective teamwork across diverse skill sets.

• Conduct performance reviews coach team members and support ongoing professional development.

• Identify process gaps and recommend improvements to optimize workflow and operational efficiency.

• Ensure adherence to organizational standards best practices and research quality expectations.

Qualifications:

• Bachelors or masters degree in business Research Engineering or related field.

• 2 years of experience in a management or team lead role ideally in a consultancy-style or multi-project environment.

• Demonstrated experience managing diverse teams and coordinating resources across various parallel projects.

• Strong interpersonal and people management skills including communication conflict resolution and team motivation.

• Proven ability to create KPIs and produce clear actionable performance reports.

• Excellent organizational planning and problem-solving abilities.

Nice to Have:

• Technical background or familiarity with technical teams and workflows.

• Experience using GitLab for collaboration and version management.

• Experience with or similar project-management platforms.
