Location: Near Kettering Northamptonshire
Salary: 32000 per annum tips/service charge
Hours: Full-time 48 hours per week 10-hour shifts 5 days on 2 off
Accommodation: Limited live-in may be available (approx. 75 per week all-inclusive subject to availability)

The hotel offers a 3 AA Rosette fine dining restaurant a relaxed brasserie elegant afternoon teas weddings and private events. Desserts breads petits fours and pastry work are a key part of the guest experience and standards are set accordingly high.

The Opportunity

As Pastry Chef de Partie you will take responsibility for the pastry section supporting the senior team in delivering consistently high standards across:

  • Fine dining desserts

  • Brasserie puddings

  • Afternoon tea items

  • Petits fours and event/buffet pastries

Youll work closely with the Head and Sous Chefs to refine techniques contribute ideas and ensure pastry plays a standout role in the overall offering.

Your Responsibilities

  • Prepare cook and present desserts pastries breads and afternoon tea items to 3 Rosette standard

  • Take ownership of the pastry section maintaining organisation mise en place and consistency

  • Support service for both the fine dining restaurant and brasserie

  • Assist with afternoon tea production banqueting and weddings as required

  • Maintain excellent standards of cleanliness stock rotation and labelling

  • Adhere to food safety hygiene and allergen procedures at all times

  • Work collaboratively with the wider brigade to ensure smooth overall service

  • Contribute ideas for new desserts petit fours and seasonal changes

  • Support and guide more junior members of the team when needed

About You

  • Experience as a Pastry Chef de Partie or strong Commis stepping up in a 23 AA Rosette or fine-dining environment

  • Confident across core pastry skills: desserts sponges mousses tarts ice creams/sorbets breads and petits fours

  • Strong eye for detail flavour balance and presentation

  • Able to run a section independently while working as part of a professional brigade

  • Calm reliable and organised under pressure

  • Positive team-focused attitude and a genuine desire to learn and progress

  • Own transport or willingness to relocate (limited live-in may be available)
