About the Role
As Director of Paediatrics you will:
- Provide clinical leadership and strategic direction for paediatric services.
- Manage inpatient and outpatient care child development programs outreach services and emergency retrieval coordination.
- Lead a multidisciplinary team including Staff Specialists registrars and interns.
- Foster teaching training and research opportunities in collaboration with James Cook University.
- Drive quality improvement and patient safety initiatives.
About You
- FRACP in Paediatrics or equivalent with current AHPRA specialist registration or eligibility for full unrestricted specialist registration.
- Demonstrated experience in paediatric medicine across a broad range of conditions.
- Proven leadership skills preferably with Head of Department experience.
- Commitment to culturally safe care for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
- Ability to work in a regional and remote setting.
