The Compliance Manager will be responsible for leading the compliance discipline across Novacore while reporting to and supporting the General Counsel. This role includes overseeing compliance and governance program(s) managing business-specific regulatory risks and providing guidance to ensure compliance across all business segments.

The ideal candidate will be a credible and trusted resource for teams in product underwriting operations and claims offering regulatory guidance and ensuring compliance with state requirements. This role will partner with Segment Presidents and Leadership to bring consistency in the execution of and reporting for core compliance functions.

Someone who possesses strong expertise in implementing compliance programs a thorough understanding of insurance risk and regulatory requirements exceptional self-motivation and proven ability to collaborate effectively will succeed in this role.

*Preferred location of this role will be in our Plano TX Office. Our corporate home office is in Conshohocken PA.*

Responsibilities

  • Provide guidance on state-specific regulatory requirements to support strategy and development.
  • Administer and manage third-party audits ensuring compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.
    • Conduct proactive regulatory audits to assess internal processes identify potential gaps and recommend corrective actions.
  • Stay up to date with legislative changes ensuring all regulatory modifications are appropriately incorporated into internal processes products and systems.
  • Prioritize and oversee defect corrections ensuring timely resolution of compliance issues and effective implementation of remediation action plans.
  • Act as a trusted resource across various teams providing clear and actionable compliance guidance. Communicate findings and results effectively through both quantitative and qualitative methods.
  • Act as a Compliance Partner: Ensure compliance best practices are incorporated into key procedures ensuring consistency in execution and reporting functions with commercial underwriting/product and claims compliance.
  • Support the development and implementation of Novacores risk compliance frameworks ensuring alignment with the interpretations of applicable law regulations regulatory guidance and industry standards through creating traceability and mapping documents.
  • Evaluate enhance and execute Novacores compliance risk management program as well as the execution and /or oversight of monitoring and testing activities while providing insights on mitigation approaches in the implementation of compliance risk management requirements.
  • Provide guidance to internal stakeholders on risk compliance management practices.

Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree required.
  • 4-7 years of relevant experience in Property and Casualty insurance industry.
  • 4 years of experience in compliance or risk management.
  • Experience working with both admitted and non-admitted carriers.
  • Prior experience with creating implementing and managing compliance programs across multiple locations.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present complex information clearly and concisely to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Proven project and audit management experience with the ability to lead multiple projects prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Strong critical thinking skills with the ability to analyze complex data and propose effective solutions to compliance challenges.
  • Elevated level of accuracy and attention to detail ensuring compliance documentation and audits are thorough and complete.
  • Proficiency in compliance management tools and reporting software.
  • Highly organized with a proactive approach capable of working independently and handling multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Certified Compliance and Ethics Professional (CCEP) Certified Regulatory Manager (CRCM) preferred.
