Your Role and Responsibilities

As our organization advances its commitment to world-class software engineering and operations we are seeking a T-shaped cross-functional Full Stack Software Engineer who is communicative adaptable self-driven and highly motivated to solve complex problems.

In this role you will join a community leading the DevOps transformation leveraging modern tools practices and technologies to deliver faster more cost-efficient resilient and secure cloud-based business applications with excellent customer experiences and high quality standards.

Key Responsibilities

Design and develop web applications across frontend backend or both.

Define and evolve the overall architecture to ensure maximum performance scalability and stability.

Collaborate within a dedicated squad (feature team) and occasionally support other squads to expand technical expertise and domain knowledge.

Experience and Qualifications

Skills:

Strong proficiency with JavaScript libraries and frameworks such as .

Strong proficiency with server-side programming languages such as or Java.

Solid understanding of web markup including HTML5 and CSS3.

Good understanding of Agile methodologies including Scrum and Kanban.

Good understanding of version control tools such as Git.

Good understanding of code quality and coverage tools such as SonarQube.

Good understanding of containerization and orchestration technologies including Docker and Kubernetes.

Basic understanding of NoSQL databases such as MongoDB or Cassandra.

Basic understanding of relational databases such as Oracle MySQL or PostgreSQL.

Basic understanding of asynchronous request handling partial page updates and AJAX.

Basic understanding of designing and implementing RESTful web services.

Basic understanding of Swagger / OpenAPI specifications.

Basic understanding of integrating third-party APIs.

Basic understanding of responsive web design and development.

Basic understanding of software design and architecture processes.

Basic understanding of service-oriented architecture microservices and serverless architecture.

Experience:

5 years of experience developing web applications.

Bachelors degree in Computer Science or a related field or equivalent practical experience.

Experience across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).

Business-level English communication skills (TOEIC 700 or equivalent).

Japanese language proficiency is a plus.

Experience in the life or P&C insurance domain is a plus.

Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure is a plus.

Experience with DevOps practices such as CI CD TDD etc. is a plus.

Experience with functional test automation tools such as Selenium Playwright or Cucumber is a plus.

Experience supporting integrations between multiple application platforms (e.g. open systems and mainframe).

Strong desire to learn be mentored and grow professionally.

Willingness to work effectively in an environment of continuous change.

Strong interest in identifying development opportunities and promoting best practices across a DevOps community.

Motivation to work with various technologies and roles to develop into a T-shaped cross-functional team member in a DevOps environment.
