AWS seeks a strategic events leader to revolutionize our internal event experiences across virtual hybrid and in-person formats. As organizations evolve in a digital-first world this role will shape how AWS connects enables and inspires our global teams through innovative event programming.
Youll lead the transformation of our internal events strategy leveraging data-driven insights and emerging technologies to create immersive experiences that drive engagement and business impact. This includes reimagining our sales kick-off programs leadership summits training initiatives and global team experiences.
Key job responsibilities
- Build and lead a high-performing team of event strategists developing the next generation of experience-focused talent
- Design and execute a comprehensive internal events strategy that aligns with AWSs rapid growth and digital transformation goals
- Pioneer innovative hybrid event models that maximize engagement across global audiences
- Optimize event technology stack and data analytics to measure and enhance program effectiveness
- Partner with senior leadership to translate business objectives into memorable event experiences
- Drive operational excellence through standardized processes vendor management and quality assurance

AWS Sales Marketing and Global Services (SMGS) is responsible for driving revenue adoption and growth from the largest and fastest growing small- and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers including public sector. The AWS Global Support team interacts with leading companies and believes that world-class support is critical to customer success. AWS Support also partners with a global list of customers that are building mission-critical applications on top of AWS services.

- 10 years of professional non-internship marketing experience
- Experience using data and metrics to drive improvements
- Experience with Excel or Tableau (data manipulation macros charts and pivot tables)
- Experience driving direction and alignment with cross-functional teams
- Proven track record scaling global event programs ($10M budget)
- MBA
- Experience building executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs
- Experience communicating results to senior leadership
- Experience with AI-powered event technologies and engagement tools

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127800/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
