What Youll Be Doing

The nature of the role substantially focuses on Global Money Transfer (GMT) data manipulation and analysis of data derived internally and externally. As the FX Analyst you will be comparing CIBC internal systems records against vendor data to determine and ensure that when there are discrepancies we are diligently investigating the reason behind order to balance on a daily basis you will be required to maintain regular interaction and communication with the GMT Team and other internal and external stakeholders.

How Youll Succeed

  • Subject Matter Expert -Provide technical advice and/or training as the subject matter expert to ensure customer satisfaction and usage of appropriate standard procedures and guidelines to meet compliance requirements. Provide counsel and recommendations to more junior staff in the resolution of more complex issues or problems that arise. Demonstrate a willingness to tackle on ad hoc problems and continuing communication and collaboration with team members.
  • Facilitate Reconciliation & Investigation -Pay close attention to detail and demonstrate a desire to solve problems in order to ensure success during the daily settlement and reconciliation process. Handle more complex trade review settlement and confirmation activities accurately and in a timely manner and respond to more complex queries or complaints from sensitive large value corporate clients to ensure customer satisfaction. Research and investigate more complex trade issues escalated to ensure accurate reporting for audit purposes.
  • Maintain Accuracy of Data -Process corrections and amendments to trade details and information in a timely manner to ensure accuracy of data prior to payment. Demonstrate critical skills and a natural curiosity toward data analysis in handling complex inquires and escalations where required.
