Job Summary
Inova Cornwall is seeking aRegistered Dietitianthat is a self-motivated team player to join the clinical nutrition team covering the behavioral health lamps units. This position is a PRN( as needed) working Mon-Fri. This position also has the opportunity to cover at all five Inova hospitals for intermittent coverage note that part of training will be at Inova Loudoun Hospital.

Registered Dietitian Job Responsibilities:
- The Registered Dietitianprovides safe and therapeutic nutritional care in a comprehensive and systematic manner.
- Provides clinical services and acts as a resource to physicians nurses and other professional healthcare team members to provide patients with optimum nutritional care.
- Coordinates the nutrition care plan with the physician and other healthcare providers while serving as a resource in the integration of the nutrition care plan into the comprehensive plan of care for the patient.
- Formulates an individualized nutrition plan of care based on assessment findings and interpreting trends in patient populations to achieve best practice.
- May perform additional duties as assigned.
Minimum Requirement s:
- Education: Bachelors degree minimum if licensed before 1/1/2024; Dietitians registered after 1/1/2024 must hold a masters degree and aDietetic internship or equivalent
- Certification:
- Registered Dietitian (RD) requiredwithin 3 months of hire
- Basic Life Support from American Heart Association requiredwithin 3 months of hire
