The opportunity:

We are seeking a motivated Masters-level researcher/engineer with a strong background in Mechanical Engineering Solid Mechanics Material Science or related fields to contribute to cutting-edge work on composite materials under fatigue-critical conditions. This role offers the chance to combine simulation testing and design improvements to advance the reliability of composite structures in demanding applications.

How youll make an impact:

  • Evaluate composite behavior under diverse operational loads and service conditions.
  • Review and assess methodologies from existing literature to investigate fatigue performance.
  • Develop advanced simulation models using tools such as Abaqus or Ansys.
  • Validate fatigue performance through experimental testing or numerical simulation.
  • Recommend design improvements for fatigue-critical composite components to enhance durability and performance.
  • Document findings and methodologies with the potential to contribute to a technical paper summarizing the study and its implications.

Your background:

  • Masters student (or equivalent) in Mechanical Engineering Solid Mechanics Material Science or related disciplines.
  • Strong interest in simulation testing and composite materials.
  • Familiarity with Abaqus or Ansys for finite element modeling.
  • Demonstrated motivation problem-solving ability and task completion skills.
  • Excellent proficiency in English (written and spoken) for technical communication.
