Job Title: Specialist Instructional Technology

The instructional technology specialist provides essential support for effective accessible and high-impact educational technology use. This role is a primary resource for faculty and students needing assistance with the Canvas LMS and is critical in ensuring all course materials meet ADA compliance standards (WCAG UDL). The specialist collaborates with faculty to implement and troubleshoot instructional technologies including support for embedded supplemental instruction tools contributing directly to student success and an equitable learning environment.

Job Responsibilities and Execution
- Supports faculty staff and students using educational technology; troubleshoots common problems aligned with established policies and procedures
- Assists in the evaluation and remediation of digital learning materials according to established guidelines and specifications (e.g. WCAG standards)
- Provides a range of training and support services for the Universitys supported educational technologies including supplemental instructional tools to support student success in Gateway courses
- Assists in the evaluation selection implementation and maintenance of new tools and methodologies to support teaching and learning
- Maintains comprehensive up to date and detailed documentation
- Creates curated media including print digital audio video and animation at the direction and request of the Learning Design Team and Lindenwood Learning Academy
- Achieves annual measurable individual improvement goals of acquiring or refining skills and/or obtaining increased knowledge in job-related areas
Service Excellence

- Partners with the Director of Faculty Development and the Manager of Learning Design to select and implement educational technology
- Assists faculty and instructors in meaningful use of technology in teaching and learning according to current institutional policies and procedures

- Seeks opportunities to exchange and integrate innovative ideas

Required Qualifications An equivalent combination of education training and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.
- Bachelors degree
- Masters degree preferred
