Duration: 13 Weeks
Experience Required: 23 years in an acute hospital setting
Pay Rate: $40 per hour (Approx. $1500 weekly)
Job Summary
Navitas Healthcare LLC is seeking Physical Therapistfor an exciting job in New York NY.
Key Responsibilities
Conduct comprehensive physical therapy evaluations to assess strength mobility balance functional limitations and rehabilitation needs.
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on clinical findings and patient-centered goals.
Deliver therapeutic interventions including therapeutic exercise functional training gait training manual therapy and appropriate modalities.
Collaborate with physicians nurses and other allied health professionals to optimize patient outcomes.
Educate patients and families on home exercise programs mobility strategies safety and continued rehabilitation plans.
Accurately document evaluations treatment notes progress updates and discharge summaries in the EMR system.
Participate in interdisciplinary meetings case discussions and departmental quality improvement initiatives.
Adhere to facility policies HIPAA regulations and APTA standards of practice.
Provide guidance and supervision to Physical Therapy Assistants (PTAs) as necessary.
Demonstrate strong clinical competence and maintain professionalism in a fast-paced clinical setting.
Qualifications
Active New York State Physical Therapist License (or eligibility to obtain prior to start).
Current BLS Certification (AHA required).
23 years of recent acute care hospital experience required.
Doctor of Physical Therapy (DPT) or Masters Degree in Physical Therapy from an accredited institution.
Strong understanding of rehabilitation principles therapeutic modalities and patient-centered care.
Proficiency with EMR systems and interdisciplinary communication.
Excellent interpersonal organizational and clinical problem-solving skills.
