Senior Network Engineer
- 12 months contract

Our esteemed Federal Govt. client is seeking an experienced Senior Network Engineer for a 12 month contract role.
As the Network Engineer you will be responsible for designing and implementing the essential data communications infrastructure and pathways that enable devices and systems to communicate securely resiliently and efficiently. You will design and configure the network infrastructure; including routers switches firewalls and wireless systems ensuring optimal alignment with best practise guidance on security scalability and resilience.
Key duties and responsibilities:
- Design implement and maintain the network infrastructure.
- Implement network security remediation and uplift.
- Configure and troubleshoot network devices such as firewalls routers and switches.
- Develop and implement network security functionality across networks.
- Monitor network performance and proactively identify and resolve issues.
Essential Criteria:
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience implementing and managing WAN/LAN networking (MPLS VPLS SD-WAN VRFs VLANs VPNs) and networking protocols (BGP OSPF ARP DNS DHCP).
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience implementing security solutions (firewalls IDS/IPS segmentation and segregation techniques).
- Experience in the implementation and maintenance of network security infrastructure and security solutions.
- Experience in providing network monitoring and reporting activities and Industry certifications or equivalents: CCIE CCNP CCNA.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience with Cisco networking devices (FTD routers switches) and management platforms (Cisco ICE DNAC).
