Tasks and Qualifications:
Your Responsibilities:
As a Senior Software Developer (m/f/d) you will play a key role in the conceptualization development and optimization of our complex software systems.
- Lead Development:Leading and executing demanding software development projects from requirements analysis to go-live while adhering to the highest quality standards.
- Technical Leadership:Assuming technical leadership in projects coordinating development teams and ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.
- Quality Assurance:Conducting code reviews ensuring test coverage and continuously improving our development processes and tools.
- Problem and Requirements Analysis:Analyzing complex technical problems and customer requirements developing and implementing software changes for WCS (warehouse management system) MFC (material flow controller) and OFS (Order Fulfillment System) systems.
- Mentoring and Coaching:Actively supporting and providing technical guidance to junior developers within the team.
- Strategic Consulting:Providing technical advice and working closely with customers project teams and customer support.
- Process Optimization:Analyzing and optimizing support and development processes in an international environment particularly regarding 24/7 operational requirements.
Your Profile:
- Professional Experience:At least 7-10 years of profound professional experience in software development ideally within the logistics automation or WCS MFC environment.
- Problem-Solving Skills:Strong analytical abilities and a structured solution-oriented approach to complex problems.
- Service Orientation:High degree of service and customer orientation.
- Technical Expertise:
- Excellent knowledge and several years of experience in Java software development (Java >8 Hibernate Log4J EJB etc).
- Proficient in handling complex databases especially Oracle (SQL PL/SQL).
- Experience with modern architectural concepts (e.g. MFC Design patterns etc).
- Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines and DevOps practices (e.g. Jenkins Docker Jira Ant Git SVN)
- Communication:Fluent in written and spoken German and English. Ability to communicate effectively with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Leadership Qualities:Proven experience in technical leadership of development teams or team lead roles.
- Willingness to Travel:Occasional willingness to travel for customer engagement and visiting current warehouse installations.
- Logistics IT:In-depth understanding of the logistics IT landscape and experience with automation environments / Warehouse Management Systems (WMS) is a plus.
