Job Summary
A welcoming and well-established Good-rated secondary school in Clacton-on-Sea is seeking a passionate and creative Art Teacher for an immediate start. This is a full-time permanent opportunity to join a supportive Visual Arts department that values creativity technical skill development and student self-expression. The Role
You will teach Art across Key Stages 3 and 4 delivering a curriculum that develops students confidence in drawing painting mixed media print and digital processes. There is a strong emphasis on nurturing individual artistic identity along with structured skill-building to support GCSE success. You will be involved in:
Planning and delivering inspiring well-sequenced lessons
Supporting GCSE coursework and assessment
Curating high-quality displays across the school
Encouraging independent artistic exploration and risk-taking
Contributing to enrichment activities such as clubs competitions and exhibitions
The department benefits from shared planning collaborative moderation and strong leadership support making this a stable and well-organised environment in which to teach.
